PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE FACILITY, REVIEW THE PROVINCE OF MANITOBA’S COVID-19 PRE-SCREENING TOOL. IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS, DO NOT ENTER THE FACILITY AND START FOLLOWING COVID-19 PROCEDURES IMMEDIATELY.

All users of our facilities must review the policies and procedures contained within this information package. It is the league and team representative’s responsibility to distribute this information to all participants and ensure they understand and will adhere to these policies and procedures. If your group requires assistance, please contact the Winnipeg Soccer Federation in advance of your rental date to discuss how we can assist you.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • MSA SANCTIONED TEAMS/CLUBS:  All sanctioned players, clubs and teams are to follow the Manitoba Soccer Association’s Return to Participate protocols.  Contact the MSA for additional information or click here for updates.

  • NON-SANCTIONED GROUPS:  These groups are allowed to play in “friendly” games but no drop-in sessions or tournaments are allowed. Contact tracing is required (see details below).

  • SPECTATORS FOR YOUTH PRACTICES/GAMES: The current Provincial Health Orders allow for ONE caregiver (parent or guardian) per youth player (under the age of 18) to remain at the facility as a spectator while the youth is participating in a sporting activity. Upon entry, the caregiver must sign in for contact tracing purposes and then proceed to the bleacher area. If the caregiver has another child (or children) who must attend, that child (or children) must remain seated with the caregiver at all times. Physical distancing must be adhered to at all times including in the bleachers.

  • SPECTATORS FOR ADULT PRACTICES/GAMES: Spectators are not allowed for any adult (18+) games or practices.

  • Dressing rooms are not available.  Players should arrive dressed and ready to play. Suggestion: change your shoes once at the turf as the ground is still wet and muddy. Portable washrooms are on the premises.

  • The WSF facility protocols are to be distributed to all participants in advance of your rental date. Refer to page two of this package for additional facility protocols.

MASKS & PHYSICAL DISTANCING:

  • Wearing a mask is not mandatory while outdoors but we strongly encourage you to wear a mask as much as possible.

  • Physical distancing is mandatory throughout the facility.

  • Coaches and non-active players are to maintain physical distancing in the bench and sideline areas.

MANDATORY CONTACT TRACING

  • You must provide a list of all participating players and coaches to the Winnipeg Soccer Federation prior to your rental date. This list is to include the date, time at the facility, team name, coach names and phone number plus the names of all players attending. In an effort to keep contacts to a minimum, the number of participants may be limited if deemed excessive by the Winnipeg Soccer Federation.

  • This list can be emailed to admin@wpgsf.com prior to 4:00pm on your rental date. If your rental is on a weekend, the WSF must receive your list prior to 4:00pm on Friday.

  • If you cannot provide a list in advance, please make arrangements with the WSF to bring it with you to the facility.

ADHERANCE:

  • All protocols set forth by the Province of Manitoba, Winnipeg Soccer Federation, Manitoba Soccer Association and Sport Manitoba must be adhered to at all times.

  • Any group not adhering will be asked to modify their session to fit the protocols. If this is not done immediately, your session will be cancelled with no refund provided.

  • If a fine is issued to the WSF due to the behaviour of your group, you will be responsible for the full cost of the fine.
