The Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex features two synthetic fields with lights and one grass field, all with bleachers for spectators. The clubhouse contains four dressing rooms, referee rooms, public washrooms and an open common area. At the fields, teams have access to fully covered team shelters with space for players to store their belongings. An on-site press box and team operated scoreclocks are also available for use.

We were proud to have the complex used as a practice facility for many teams during the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and by the Canadian and United States Women’s National Teams in 2013.

Although best suited for soccer, the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex is a great fit for other sports or activities that require a large playing surface.

FACILITY RE-NAMING

The Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex, formerly the Winnipeg Soccer Complex, was renamed in honour of Mr. Ralph Cantafio on June 12, 2016. Known as the father of modern soccer in Manitoba, Mr. Cantafio had a dream to make the sport the best it can be for young and old. In honour of a lifetime of dedication to soccer, it was declared by the Winnipeg Soccer Federation and City of Winnipeg that the complex be named the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.

GRASS PLAY AREAS

A natural grass field lays just north of Field #2 along with covered team shelters and bleachers. Other smaller grassed areas at the complex can also be used for smaller fields of play.

FACILITY USER POLICIES

All participants and patrons using Winnipeg Soccer Federation managed fields must abide by the facility rules and regulations. Be advised that the Winnipeg Soccer Federation staff have the right to issue fines, refuse entry or remove any patron not abiding by these rules and regulations. Some policies may vary based on your sport or activity. Click here to view the user policies for this facility.

ADMISSIONS

All users of the facility must check in with the staff here to gain access to the facility. Players, coaches and referees will be admitted at no charge when entering the facility prior to their game (present your MSA card for easiest access). Spectators and non-official team personnel will be required to pay a daily admission fee of $3.00. There is no admission fee for seniors (65+) or children (under 18) and no charge to anyone attending WYSA games. Admission is not charged for private rentals.

LOST SOCCER BALLS

If a soccer ball is kicked over the fence and into the water treatment plant, DO NOT enter that area to retrieve the ball (this is private property of the City of Winnipeg). Please locate a WSF staff person and give them a description of the ball and your contact information. The City of Winnipeg returns soccer balls to the WSF to be returned to the owner.  You may receive a call if your ball is retrieved or you can check back with the staff at the complex the next time you are there. It is very helpful if teams put their names on soccer balls for identification. For more details, please call the WSF at 204-953-4747.

PARKING

Free parking is available outside the main entrance of the complex.
