USER POLICIESUSER POLICIES

All participants and patrons using the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex must abide by the following rules and regulations as set forth by the Winnipeg Soccer Federation. Be advised that the WSF staff have the right to refuse entry or remove anyone not abiding by these rules and regulations, and are authorized to issue facility fines.

  • Only plastic molded cleats or regular athletic shoes are permitted. No metal or screw-in cleats allowed.
  • Water is permitted on the fields. No other beverages are allowed including sports drinks, coffee, soda and juice.
  • Food is not permitted on the field including candy, gum, sunflower seeds or peanuts.
  • NO SPITTING on the field! This maintains cleanliness and helps to decrease bacteria on the playing surface.
  • Do not go on the field or to the team benches before your game!  To warm-up, you may use the designated area located behind the clubhouse.
  • There may be times where you will have limited or no access to the dressing rooms. Check the schedule boards or with WSF staff for more information. Change and shower as quickly as possible as there may be another team assigned to use the dressing room.
  • Throw away/recycle all trash & debris from your bench area and dressing room so they are ready for use by the next team.
  • Clean your cleats before going on the field or inside the clubhouse.
  • Do not leave personal belongings in the dressing rooms. Dressing rooms are not locked. Lockers are available behind the clubhouse for team use but you are responsible for your own lock. The WSF is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property.
  • No spectators on the field or benches at any time.
  • Teams are responsible for the conduct of their spectators.
  • Bring your own first aid kit to keep at your bench. There is no on-site first aid available. An AED is located inside the clubhouse on the opposite side from the dressing rooms.
  • Anyone using inappropriate language or engaging in physical aggression will be removed from the complex.
  • Pets are not allowed anywhere on the premises.
  • Smoking is not allowed on the premises including the bleachers, fields, clubhouse or surrounding areas at any time.
  • Alcohol is not allowed on the premises.
  • Daily admission will charged to adult spectators. Players and coaches are to check in at the admissions booth upon arrival and advise the staff of the team they are playing for. If your team is scheduled to play that day, you will not be charged admission. There is no admission charged for WYSA games.
  • The Winnipeg Soccer Federation has the authority to issue fines for misconduct taking place at our managed facilities.


FINABLE OFFENCES
The Winnipeg Soccer Federation and its employees have the authority to issue fines for the following acts of misconduct:

  • A fine will be issued to an individual who relieves themselves anywhere on the premises other than the clubhouse washrooms or portable washrooms. Your first offence will result in a $100 fine. Your second offence will result in a $200 fine. Any further offences by the same player will result in a team fine of $500.
  • A team fine will be issued for leaving the dressing rooms or field benches excessively messy or dirty as determined by WSF staff. The team will be fined $100 for the first offence, $200 for a second offence and $500 for any further offences.
  • A team fine will be issued for trespassing on The City of Winnipeg water treatment plant by going over or through the fence. The team will be fined $100 for the first offence, $200 for a second offence and $500 for any further offences.
  • A team fine will be issued for trespassing if members of your team or your spectators access the WSF facility, such as going over the fence or through a gate, when it has not been officially opened by staff. The team will be fined $100 for the first offence, $200 for a second offence and $500 for any further offences.
  • A player or team may be fined for physically and/or verbally assaulting another person within the facility or parking lot. This incident will be reviewed by the Winnipeg Soccer Federation and you will be advised of your penalty which may include a monetary fine, game probation or banning from the facility.
  • A player or team may be fined for damaging property. This incident will be reviewed by the Winnipeg Soccer Federation and you will be advised of your penalty which may include a monetary fine, game probation or being banned from the facility. After review, you may also be responsible for paying the full cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item or area.

OFFENCES TO BE REVIEWED FOR PENALTY
The Winnipeg Soccer Federation will review the following incidents and a fine, cost of repair/replacement and/or a ban from WSF facilities may be issued to:

  • any player, team personnel, referee or spectator who physically or verbally assaults a WSF staff member or any other person in facility or parking lot.
  • any player, team personnel, referee or spectator who damages property (including but not limited to the clubhouse, team shelters, press box, nets, flags, equipment, walls, fixtures, scoreboards, admissions booth, fences, etc.)

REPAYMENT
Payment to the Winnipeg Soccer Federation must be made within 15 days of receiving the fine.
Payment is accepted by cash or cheque in person or by mail to 211 Chancellor Matheson Road,
Winnipeg, MB   R3T 1Z2. Fines paid late will incur added fees.
