The Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex, formerly the Winnipeg Soccer Complex, was renamed in honour of Mr. Ralph Cantafio on June 12, 2017. Known as the father of modern soccer in Manitoba, Mr. Cantafio had a dream to make the sport the best it can be for young and old. In honour of a lifetime of dedication to soccer, it was declared by the Winnipeg Soccer Federation and City of Winnipeg that the complex be named the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.

The Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex features two synthetic fields with lights and one grass field, all with bleachers for spectators. A clubhouse containing four dressing rooms, referee rooms, public washrooms and an open common area is also available for use.  Teams have access to fully covered team shelters at the fields, as well as lockers and a warm-up area behind the clubhouse.
The Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex has played host to many provincial and national events including the 1999 Pan Am Games, 2016 Canadian Western Masters Regional, 2012 Senior Canadian Club Nationals and the annual Manitoba Soccer Association Provincial Championships. The complex will also be the main soccer venue for the 2017 Canada Summer Games and the 2017 CIS Women’s Soccer Championship.

We were proud to have the complex used as a practice facility for many teams during the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and by the Women’s National Teams for Canada and USA to practice prior to their match in 2013.

Although best suited for soccer, the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex is a great fit for other sports or activities that require a large playing surface.
