John Scouras Field #1

As the featured field at the complex, this synthetic grass field was resurfaced in 2015 for the FIFA Women’s World Cup. This field is 68m x 105m in size with full overhead lighting for full illumination during evening games. Large bleachers run along the west side of the field which can comfortably hold up to 2,500 spectators. A press box, sound system and scoreboard are available for use.

Field #2
Field #2 is located just north of the clubhouse and is slightly recessed to provide an intimate playing experience. This field is surrounded by overhead lights for evening games. Bleachers are located along the west side of the field for approximately 750 spectators. A manual scoreboard is available to assist with scorekeeping.

Field #3
A naturally grassed field lays just north of Field #2 and is used for light usage sports such as ultimate disc and mini soccer. A set of bleachers is located along the east side of the field for approximately 225 spectators.

Field Lights
Both synthetic turf fields have overhead lighting to assist the playing experience in the evening. Field lights also allow for games to be played in the early or later months of the year to extend the outdoor playing season.  In addition, the lights on John Scouras Field #1 are TV rated for events that require broadcasting.

Team Benches and Technical Areas
Both synthetic grass fields include a designated technical area with two covered team benches as used in the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. These 21’ shelters have comfortable seats for 10 players. Field #1 also has a four member referee shelter

The clubhouse is located inside the main entrance. When entering, teams can go to the right side of the clubhouse to access four dressing rooms with showers. On the left side is an open public area that contains vending machines and public washrooms. This area also contains the WSF staff office, including a lost and found area, an AED device and backboard. Around the outside of the clubhouse, you will find two additional washrooms and lockers for teams to store extra equipment during games (you must provide your own lock). Behind the clubhouse, is the entrance for the designated warm-up area.

Admissions Booth
An admissions booth is located in the front entrance of the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex. All users of the facility must check in with the staff here to gain access to the facility. Players, coaches and referees must show their MSA card to gain free admission for their game only. Spectators and non-official team personnel will be required to pay a daily admission fee of $3.00. There is no admission fee for seniors or children at any time and no charge to any spectators during Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association games. Season passes are also available.

Warm-Up Area
A warm-up area is located directly behind the clubhouse.  Players are asked to use this area prior to their game for all warm-up activities instead of using the areas around the playing fields so games are not disrupted.

Lost Soccer Balls

If a soccer ball is kicked over the fence and into the water treatment plant, DO NOT enter that area to retrieve the ball (this is private property of the City of Winnipeg). Please locate a WSF staff person and give them a description of the ball and your contact information. The City of Winnipeg returns soccer balls to the WSF to be returned to the owner.  You may receive a call if your ball is retrieved or you can check back with the staff at the complex the next time you are there. It is very helpful if teams put their names on soccer balls for identification. For more details, please call the WSF at 204-953-4747.

Free parking is available outside the main entrance of the complex.
